Google+ Helps Toyota Communicate with Consumers

Often-time consumers complain about companies launching intrusive ads within their personal digital space. Sloane Toyota of Glenside understands how frustrating this can be. That is why we would like to take minute to explain some of the benefits of our favorite automaker's latest brand messaging platform: Google+.

As with many internet initiatives, the upcoming social networking site offers a large scope of possibility and it's up to the user to take advantage of it. No surprise to us, Toyota has done just that. After Google+ added official business pages as a site feature, the Japanese automaker was one of the first to hop on board. The Toyota page not only displays high-quality new Toyota model photos and detailed updates, it provides sneak-peek looks at some rather interesting extras as well. For example, one Google+ Toyota post contains a video of a thought-controlled Prius X Parlee concept bike.

Now, if you're thinking that Toyota has already spread its social media arms through Facebook and Twitter, you're right. But the experience of Google+ offers something different. Users are given a role in the platform's evolution. This role doesn't involve sending in a survey or recommending new features. Designers at Google+ simply monitor user interaction with the site and make changes based off what those users would like most.

Sound like a social media venue you'd like to be a part of? Make sure to give Toyota a +1 and take advantage of all the juicy, up to date information provided for you. Of course, you can also find the latest Toyota news here at Sloane Toyota of Glenside, 503 N. Easton Rd. Glenside, PA 19038.
