A new Toyota is coming to the lineup in 2022, and it’s already making headlines. The 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is a subcompact crossover that’s designed to have similar Corolla features but with an SUV body. Many of our Jenkintown, Willow Grove, and beyond drivers are asking many questions about this all-new vehicle. One of the most popular questions is, “Will the Toyota Corolla Cross be bigger than the Toyota CH-R?”.

The answer? Yes! The Toyota Corolla Cross is set to fit between the Toyota CH-R and Toyota RAV4. Like the Toyota CH-R, the Toyota Corolla Cross is still a subcompact SUV but is longer, wider, and taller. This added room allows for more rear-seat space as well as a bigger cargo area. That being said, it’s significantly smaller than the Toyota RAV4 still.

Other Outstanding New Features Found in the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross

Besides its middle-of-the-road size, the 2022 Toyota Corolla Cross is prepared to wow with a long list of new features and options. These include:

    • 2.0-Liter Inline Four-Cylinder Engine – This standard engine is set to come with a peppy 169-horsepower and 150 pounds-feet of torque. It’s paired with a CVT automatic transmission and standard front-wheel drive. All-wheel drive is an option, and a towing capacity of up to 1500 pounds is available.
    • Five Seats with 60/40 Rear Seats – The inside of the Toyota Corolla Cross will have up to five seats and adaptable cargo space. Its rear bench can split-fold 60/40 and comes with an optional power liftgate for easy access.
